Let’s taking part in the massive celebration of The Coral Triangle Day (June 9) by holding a free film festival showcasing some of the most interesting documentaries and films based on the sea. Featuring films ‘Whaledreamers’, ‘The Mirror Never Lies’ and ‘Shark Sanctuary’, the event aims to spread the word about the importance of taking care of not only what happens above sea level, but also of what lies beneath. The Coral Triangle is the underwater equivalent of the Amazon. It harbors more species than any other marine environment on the planet, including 76% of all coral types and more than 3000 species of fish. It passes through the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Timor L’Este. It is also one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
